Position Description, Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Must have experience working in the Distribution or Manufacturing industry as a Customer Service Representative.

This position will support all customer divisions, subsidiaries, and dropship vendors utilizing the MDC systems. The Customer Service Associate’s tasks for these entities include:

  • Process orders on behalf of Customers
  • Process same day shipments upon request
  • Provide up to date tracking information upon request
  • Provide up to date material information upon request
  • Provide technical training on the MDC Portal
  • Provide registration assistance on the MDC Portal
  • Create New Dealer Code after receiving confirmation from Account Master Team
  • Provide item status update upon request
  • Process credits for returned merchandise
  • Provide up to date tracking information upon request
  • Provide information regarding billing inquiries/submit credits
  • Provide reports per customer’s needs at the frequency specified by the customer
  • Provide Shipping quotes to customers upon request
  • Approve/Deny MDC Portal registration based on criteria provided by management
  • Process subscription orders for dealer, corporate, and consumer customers.

 

The Customer Service position will also support MDC’s Internal Departments. Those duties include:

  • Create delivery notifications for incoming items.
    Generate the commercial invoice for International Shipments
  • Process scrap requests whenever needed or requested by the material owners.
  • Handle communication via phone/email with customers regarding any issues that arise.

 

Customer Associate must possess the following skills/qualities:

  • Able to read, interpret, and use forms and other visual instructions to perform required work.
  • Demonstrates effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Be bilingual in English and Spanish, both verbal and written.
  • Proactive in anticipating and alerting others to problems with shipments, projects, or processes.
  • High detail orientation and accuracy.
  • Takes initiative and needs little supervision.
  • Able to prioritize, organize tasks and time.  Performs responsibilities efficiently and timely.
  • Can adjust to changing workloads and hours.
  • Works well in a team environment and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in basic mathematics.
  • Ability to influence others to meet goals.

 

Associate must possess the following skills/qualities:

Demonstrates proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Google Chrome

Minimum Education Requirement:

  • High school diploma or GED required.  Some post-secondary education a plus.
