Description

• Have a comprehensive knowledge of GFI production processes, procedures, & machinery-equipment
• Meet with one [1] department once a week for weekly safety meetings
• Perform weekly Supervisor safety-audits
• Hold monthly Safety committee meetings
• Maintain injury/accident files
• Prepare Safety work-orders for the maintenance department
• Conduct specific training requirements for departments [lifting, stretching, etc]
• Train first responders in first-aid processes & procedures
• Handle all OSHA inspections and Safety consultations by outside sources
• Send all reports-of-injury to Corp/TX in a timely manner

• Must be certified in first aid training
• Must have comprehensive knowledge of OSHA regulations
• Must have comprehensive knowledge of machine guarding
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills preferred
• Have exceptional interaction-skills for working with floor staff, Supervisors, Leadership personnel, & vendors
• Be able to teach / coach others
• Have strong leadership skills- be able to motivate others to follow safety policies & procedures
• Be a creative problem-solver; be decisive & objective when resolving Safety issues
• Be proactive in identifying and resolving Safety issues
• Upon hire, it may be necessary to submit to a drug test and/or criminal background check
• Upon hire, proof of identity and U.S. employment eligibility is required
• Seeking candidates with high school diploma or equivalent
• Must be at least 18 years of ago
