Description

Safety Specialist / Safety Coordinator – Personal care product manufacturer in Gardena, CA seeks a Safety Specialist to provide the Compliance Director with recommendations for improving safety in the workplace. You will work the day shift from 5AM to 1:30PM.

 

This is a full-time position where you will earn $16 an hour, to start. Overtime is also available at $24 an hour. Plus, if hired on directly by the company, you will be eligible for a benefits package.

 

This facility has free onsite parking, company-provided personal protection equipment, and an employee lunchroom with a microwave, refrigerator and vending machines available for your use.  

 

As the Safety Specialist, you will also be responsible for:

  • Conducting regular safety inspections and creating reports.
  • Monitoring employee safety.
  • Assisting injured employees by providing first aid for employees with minor injuries.
  • Assisting injured employees in completing injury reports, when needed.

 

To qualify for this Safety Specialist position, you must have at least 6 months of related safety experience and:

  • A High School or GED.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • The ability to write reports and correspondence.
