Chartwell Hires CFO J. Todd Oken

On Tuesday, July 5th, 2016, Chartwell Staffing Solutions announced that J. Todd Oken is joining the firm as its new Chief Financial Officer. Oken joins the team from CDI Corporation where most recently he was Division CFO / VP Finance for the Talent & Technology Solutions business. Previous to that, Oken worked as a Senior Manager at Deloitte Consulting. Oken holds an MBA in Finance, with honors, from Wharton, and Bachelor of Science from The Johns Hopkins University. Oken brings nine years of staffing experience to the company as well as 20 years of overall experience in technology, eBusiness, management consulting, and professional services. He is tasked with driving decisions critical to creating and sustaining Chartwell’s organizational value and growth. In addition, Oken oversees all of Chartwell’s corporate finance, accounting, purchasing and risk functions, and ensures all financial systems and procedures comply with legal policies and regulations. “The addition of Todd Oken to our team represents a significant step forward for Chartwell. Chartwell Staffing Solutions is pleased to announce the following new leadership hires in 2016: On 5/31/16 Chartwell Staffing Solutions hired W. Holmes Lilley, III as Executive Vice President & General Counsel of Chartwell’s legal department. Mr. Lilley oversees Chartwell Staffing Solutions’ legal team and his responsibilities include managing and coordinating legal services including legal counsel and representation, litigation and legal risk management, contract drafting and review, and compliance oversight. Mr. Lilley provides counsel to all teams within Chartwell. Previous to Chartwell, Mr. Lilley was employed as Associate General Counsel to Health Management Systems, Inc. in Las Vegas NV. Anthony Matzke was hired by Chartwell Staffing Solutions on 5/16/16 as Area Manager of their new Driver Division. Matzke’s responsibilities include hiring the best talent for CDL A, B, and C driver positions as well as partnering with for-hire carriers, private fleets, LTL carriers, and 3PL carriers. Previous to Chartwell, he worked over two years as a branch manager for Trillium Drivers. Matzke brings over 16 years of staffing experience to the company. Chartwell Staffing Solutions’ Driver Division serves businesses and manufacturers in Southern California. On Monday 3/21/16, Lua Borey was hired as Chartwell Staffing Solutions’ Senior Regional Vice President. Borey is responsible for P&L of 120 million+ and operational performance of Chartwell’s Southern California branches and onsite locations. Kevin Case was hired as Senior Vice President of The Chartwell Alliance Group, a subsidiary of Chartwell Staffing Solutions. The Chartwell Alliance Group is a MSP/VMS service provider. Case joins Chartwell Alliance with over 25 years of staffing and workforce management solutions experience. Previously, Case was VP of nextSource’s Manufacturing and Energy practice group. In his new role, Case identifies clients and new prospects in need of The Chartwell Alliance Group’s customized workforce management solutions. He also provides leadership, expertise, and support to Chartwell Staffing Solutions’ external VMS relationships and is currently building a centralized team of VMS professionals dedicated to handling compliance, invoicing, and fulfillment duties for both Chartwell Staffing Solutions’ and The Chartwell Alliance Group’s VMS relationships. On November 4, 2015 Chartwell Staffing Solutions appointed David Kooiman as Senior Vice President of Business Development. Kooiman previously served as Regional Vice President of Sales for Select Staffing. His ultimate responsibility is to lead Chartwell’s overall growth primarily though organic means plus he will also assist with potential acquisitions that complement Chartwell’s existing nationwide footprint. Kooiman is responsible for re-tooling and adding to Chartwell’s existing sales force as well as streamlining multi-site services for Chartwell’s prospects and customers on a regional and national level. In addition, he leads a team designated to design and implement a business development training and mentoring program. “My objective is to build a national sales force of industry leaders who love to have fun and want to grow their careers as staffing professionals. On Thursday, October 29th, Chartwell Staffing Solutions acquired New York City based Tiger Information Systems, a staffing, recruiting, and training agency with a 30 year history of serving prestigious financial, corporate, and legal firms. As a result of the new acquisition, Chartwell now has two New York City offices that provide professional staff to top tier clients in the greater New York area. Tiger Information Systems has been rebranded as Chartwell Staffing Solutions. Chartwell will retain the Tiger Information Systems’ staff. No stranger to professional staffing, Chartwell’s original New York City Office supplies financial staff, HR staff, office staff, office support services, employee benefit services, financial presentation services, and applicant screening services to the greater New York market. With the acquisition of Tiger Information Systems, Chartwell adds IT, legal, and creative staffing as well as IT training and project services to their array of professional staffing services.
